Sustaining, Evolving Expanding: Knowledge, Spirituality, Inheritance and Tradition

This web site is intended as a Spiritual and Ecological wake up call to mankind, and as a launch point of a quest for human maturity: The Long Sojourn into Harmony and Balance.

Our goal is to vastly broaden the time horizons that we consider.

Successful species on this planet measure their accomplishments on time scales of hundreds of millions of years.

As a species we are infants; and we are treating our planet--our crib--as if it was a disposable diaper.

The practical functions of this web site are three:

1. To serve as a spiritual clearinghouse or sounding board for constantly evolving ideas about what underpins our reality: from its cosmic basis, through the function of community, to our most personal inner spark.

2. To promote action through a charitable foundation, www.seeksit.org and to discuss the mission of this non-profit organization.

3. To raise funds for the foundation's work via the marketing of a fictional series, "As Heaven Fades" about a hopeful but still dangerous distant human future in which the Long Sojourn into Harmony and Balance has come to fruition.

Regarding the first of these functions, there is "good news embedded in the stars"--The Transcendent Word. And there is a voice that reveals to us this message. She is the River Goddess Dalle--both an 'imaginary friend' and the divine 'Strongmother' who begat all reality, mother of the universe. To understand Dalle is to recognize that these two absurdly contradictory roles are inseparable. That is because reality is fundamentally an act of imagining. Dalle (rhymes with Gal) is man's creation in precisely the same way that we are Her creation. Look to the topics on paradox/spirituality for more information. Therein you will find that the acronym 'SEEKSIT' has a second meaning: "the Soul's Emergent Evolving Knowledge Sustains, Impels, Transcends". You will find that there are closely reasoned arguments, rooted entirely in science and logic, for a universe infused with an all-pervading spirit. These arguments are radically open-ended, however: skeptics and non-believers are essential to their vitality.

And finally some of the book is offered free on this site in order for the visitor to judge whether it might be worth their while to invest their hard earned money in this effort and gain a bit of entertainment at the same time. 50% or more of all royalties from the sales of this book go directly to achieving the visionary Goals of seeksit.org.
